anna madyarova is a russian-born founder of eto YA* studio. it offers thoughtful services and gifts that strive to spread the feeling of self-love, beauty and making every moment meaningful. our products are inspired by music, art, fashion, travel, fascinating cultures and people, and the sense of self-realisation brought by the process of creation.
every individual is unique, so are our gifts and artwork: a scarf that makes you feel like you are by the fireplace, warm and cosy; an artwork that speaks to you; a styling session that facilitates connection to yourself, a piece of unique jewellery that is a pleasure to wear. eto YA*... this is me!
* 12 march 2026: eto YA* studio has been invited to join a wonderful hinamatsuri, a japanese girls' festival organised by flowwa. we are proud to join this event and contribute to community wellbeing.
a huge thank you to flowwa for the invitation!
from the festival website:
Hinamatsuri (a.k.a. Girls' Day or Doll's Day) is a special celebration of Japanese culture honouring girls' happiness, health, and growth. Our "Hinamatsuri-Reimagined" Festival blends tradition with bold modernity, celebrating Japanese culture through the lens of contemporary gender equality, multiculturalism, diversity and inclusion.
While honouring the thousand-year-old tradition of celebrating grace and beauty, and praying for the safety and protection of women and girls, our version of Hinamatsuri also wishes to embrace the empowerment and independence of women and girls in Australia today. We create space for reflection around a central question:
"What does happiness mean for girls and women today?"
Timed near International Women's Day, our celebration sparks inter-generational dialogue, honouring the past while amplifying voices shaping the future.

* 19 february 2026: it was a pleasure to host the dearest edendale solo exhibition on 14 - 17 feb 2026. the exhibition was a heartfelt tribute to the edendale community environment farm which welcomed diamond valley arts society and became its base a few years ago. the event was a great success, and i am proud to have shared this celebration of friends, family and local community.
i was thrilled to see so many art lovers attend the opening night, creating a lively and welcoming energy in the gallery. the collection, described as a "metaphorical love letter" to the farm, was well-received and several pieces across various media found new homes.
the interactive art desk was a major hit. it was wonderful to see children and parents connecting through the edendale-themed coloring sheets.
these coloring activities will continue to be used by DVAS and the edendale farm to inspire creativity and environmental awareness in farm's visitors.
thank you to everyone who made this event so memorable.
* 14 january 2026: i am thrilled to announce my upcoming solo exhibition dearest edendale…
presented as a metaphorical love letter to the edendale community environment farm in eltham—currently the home of the diamond valley arts society that I belong to—the exhibition serves as a profound tribute to the site’s role as a sanctuary for creative practice.
for me, the farm transcends its physical boundaries to become a "state of mind," offering vital psychological restoration within the constraints of metropolitan infrastructure. through my work, i explore the farm as a landscape of ecological intimacy and radical stillness.
the exhibition showcases the expansive technical vocabulary that i have accumulated over the years. The choice of media serves as a deliberate conceptual response to the subjects. the tactile warmth of textiles evokes the farm's sensory richness, while the archival permanence of silverpoint and the raw, tonal depth of graphite capture its timeless inhabitants. i further explore this connection to nature through coloured pencil drawings, utilising both the smooth clarity of paper and the organic grain of wood to articulate the specific essence of the edendale landscape.
complementing the formal works, the exhibition celebrates the launch of a community engagement initiative. i have transformed my photographic studies of the farm into a series of illustrative colouring sheets for children. supported by the diamond valley arts society, this project will be donated to the edendale farm, ensuring that the spirit of the site continues to inspire the next generation of creative minds.
