testimonial

Anna has got very special relationships with plants and animals, which she transfers to her paintings. Whether it's the cat and the parrot looking at each other through the glass, or the shots of bamboo, there's a conversation happening behind the painting, and Anna invites the viewer to take part in this conversation. I love Anna's sense of humour, very subtle and soft, beautifully illustrated by her alter ego Francois the Hipster Penguin, a true free spirit with cheeky smile hidden behind its mustache. It's my pleasure to recommend Anna's works, and I am proud my family owns a couple of her gems.

story: i went out to my driveway and suddenly saw a huge teddy bear and some toys that our neighbours put on their nature strip. it was as if the bear was packed for a trip and was waiting for a taxi. it was so big it was the size of a 4-year-old toddler. the warmness and softness were combined with the sense of abandonment and the unknown. the teddy was only there for a day or two, and I hope that it ended up in loving little hands
