make your own lovely 2D artwork using the magical technique of dry needle felting. even if you are not info crafts and prefer painting, handling a different medium will give you a chance to explore new possibilities in texture, layering, and colour blending that you simply can't achieve with paint or pencil. by working with wool and a felting needle, you'll discover how tactile materials can add depth and dimension to your creative process, inspiring fresh perspectives in your drawing and painting practice. this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to break out of your usual routine and let your creativity evolve through hands-on experimentation.
you will discover the joy of working with wool, a wonderfully soft and versatile material that allows for incredible texture and colour blending. be amazed at how simple the process of “painting with fibre” is. With just a special needle and a palette of colourful wool, you can bring your vision to life (all materials provided).

DESCRIPTION: come and celebrate vincent van gogh’s genius with us!
we will look at his early works, explore how his artistic practice developed over time, and investigate the aspects of his late artworks such as composition, brushwork, colours in an easy and comprehensive format. you will learn the story of his world-famous “the starry night”, when and where it was made, and what inspired vincent. you will have a go at creating a simplified version of the painting. it will be a step-by-step process that will allow you to combine your own artistic knowledge and skills with van gogh’s techniques.
you will come out with a better understanding of what made his work special and how to create more art inspired by van gogh.
